Porta Potties & Site Requirements

Got questions? We have answers to help you out.

The general rule is one unit per 10 workers for a 40-hour work week. For sites with 20+ workers, or crews working overtime, add units accordingly. Cal-OSHA §1526 requires a minimum of one toilet per 20 employees. We’ll recommend the right count during your quote — just tell us your crew size and project duration.

Every unit includes hand sanitizer, three rolls of toilet paper, and seat covers — restocked at every service visit. Interior cleaning, waste removal, and deodorizing are included with every service. This is standard, not an upgrade.

Weekly: Standard for most construction sites with 5-15 daily users per unit. Twice-weekly or more: Recommended for high-traffic sites with 20+ workers, or any site where crew comfort and cleanliness are a priority. Daily: Available for events or peak-use periods.

We’ll recommend a service frequency during the quote process based on your headcount, site type, and project duration. Upgrading to multi-weekly service is available at any time during your rental.

Yes. Cal-OSHA Title 8, Section 1526 requires employers to provide toilet facilities for workers on construction sites. The requirement is one unit per 20 workers, with facilities in reasonable proximity to the work area. We help you meet compliance with proper unit counts and placement. For help calculating how many units you need, try the Satellite Industries restroom calculator.

For construction sites, we can typically deliver within five business days of your request. For large events or peak season, booking two to four weeks in advance ensures availability. Call us and we’ll confirm your timeline.

Events & VIP Trailers

For events, plan one unit per 50-75 guests for a 4-hour event. Add more for longer events, if alcohol is served, or if food is being served. VIP restroom trailers serve 75-150 guests depending on the model. Call us with your guest count and event details — we’ll quote the exact setup.

A VIP restroom trailer is a fully enclosed, climate-controlled unit with flushing toilets, running water sinks, LED lighting, mirrors, and finished interiors. It’s a fundamentally different experience from a standard portable restroom — comparable to an indoor restroom. Standard porta potties are self-contained units designed for construction sites and general use.

Trailer capacity depends on the model and event duration. A two-station trailer comfortably serves events of 50–100 guests for several hours. For larger events, multi-station trailers or multiple units are available. We’ll size it right for your event.

Most VIP trailers require a standard 20-amp electrical connection for lighting, climate control, and freshwater pumps. We confirm power requirements when you book and coordinate with your venue. Generator rental is an option for remote locations without power access.

Yes. Our team levels and stabilizes the trailer during setup using professional leveling equipment. We work with grass, gravel, asphalt, and most outdoor surfaces. Extremely soft ground may require plywood pads, which we can provide. We assess your site and confirm placement logistics before the event.

For weddings and large events, we recommend booking four to six weeks in advance, especially during peak season (May through October in the Bay Area and Central Coast). Popular dates in wine country and coastal venues book early. Contact us as soon as your event date is confirmed.

Sinks, Water, Waste Tanks & Fencing

Cal-OSHA Title 8 §1526 requires handwashing facilities near portable restrooms on construction sites. Our portable sinks meet this requirement.

Yes. Portable sinks are available as standalone rentals for events, food service areas, or any location needing handwash access.

A freshwater holding tank stores clean, non-potable water for handwashing and restroom trailer supply. A waste holding tank collects wastewater from portable toilets and sinks when no sewer connection is available. Many sites need both — we rent and service each.

Water buffalo is the common job-site term for a portable freshwater tank on a trailer or skid. Same equipment, different name depending on who you ask. If your GC is requesting a water buffalo, a freshwater holding tank rental is what they mean.

Our tanks supply non-potable water rated for handwashing. We don’t position our freshwater tanks as drinking water sources for crew consumption — that’s a separate setup. The water meets sanitation standards for handwash use.

Temporary fencing is priced by the linear foot and rental duration. Delivery, installation, and removal are included. Contact us for an itemized quote based on your site dimensions.

Permit requirements vary by city and county. In the Bay Area, some municipalities require permits for fencing adjacent to public rights-of-way. Check with your local building department — we can advise on common requirements in our service area.

Service, Billing & Coverage

We serve the Greater San Francisco Bay Area, Santa Cruz County, and Monterey County — including San Jose, Santa Cruz, Watsonville, Gilroy, Salinas, Monterey, and surrounding communities. View our full service area coverage.

Yes. Many of our construction clients run multiple sites across the Bay Area and Central Coast. We coordinate delivery, service schedules, and billing across all your locations — one vendor, one relationship, one invoice.

Yes. Standard weekly service works for most sites, but we offer twice-weekly and daily service for high-traffic crews. Multi-weekly service improves worker comfort, job site conditions, and crew morale. It’s a small investment that sets your site apart. We’ll help you determine the right frequency during the quote process.

Through our digital service verification system (ServiceCore). After every service visit, the work is documented and verifiable. You get proof of completion — date, time, and services performed.

Three things: digital service verification (proof, not promises), transparent billing (no hidden fees), and personal accountability (one call reaches the owners). The big companies can’t match that.

We may still serve your area. Our coverage extends across Northern and Central California and we’re expanding. Call us with your site address and we’ll confirm whether we can reach you.
